One of my hobbies is amatuer photography, and I’ve put some of my work on flickr.
All of my images are created using only the camera – I don’t do post-processing (except the occasional crop). That’s just my philosophy on photography. This is often called Straight Out Of the Camera (SOOC), and you’ll see my images tagged that way (I also use tags to indicate info not captured in EXIF data, like when I use filters or a tripod).
If you’re looking for a place to buy equipment, I highly recommend Adorama:
I’ve been buying from them for some time now, and they consistently have the best prices, and often have free shipping. I’ve never had a problem with anything I’ve purchased from them.
For printing photos, I use their sister-company, AdoramaPix:
Their prices are great (including shipping costs) and they turn around orders very quickly. They print on professional paper, and allow easy specification of “No Corrections”, so you get the colors, contrast, and sharpness you want.
